I love a good story. When I was a teacher, sometimes the children would say, “Mrs. Young, you have already read that story!” I always let the children know that good stories were worth hearing over and over again. Not only are good stories worth hearing over and over again, but good stories usually teach us something. Jesus was a great storyteller; he used stories to help people understand what he was saying. Jesus usually told stories about farming or fishing because that was what most people of that time knew and understood. Today we are going to talk about a farming story. Read the chapter for today, and then I will see you in the video.

So What Activity: Look at the photos and imagine Jesus telling the parable of the Farmer Scattering the Seeds in one of these locations. Does it make the story more real? Go outside and find a rock and reread the Parable. Commit to not be hard like a rock but to keep your heart soft like good soil so you can grow.
