July 7, 2022 – Summer of Love

Galatians 5:13-15

15 But if you are always biting and devouring one another, watch out! Beware of destroying one another.

Do you ever feel like using biting words with someone you are having a problem with?  Do you ever use the power you have in your life to devour someone else?  I think this is something that we as humans have always struggled with.   Anytime we have power in our lives, we are tempted to use that power to push someone down instead of lifting them up.  We have freedom in Christ that allows us to do wonderful things, Kingdom building things, but with this also comes the ability to tear down the Kingdom with our selfish actions.  I encountered this temptation just this week.  Check out the video to hear the story of this temptation and why I am thankful for this study.

Discussion Questions:

  1. Whom are you tempted to bite at and devour?
  2. What can you do to use the freedom you have in Christ to love someone today?

Blessings,
Kristyne

  1. The study is very good. It reminds me of how important it is to be a loving person in many situations that we face every day. The situation you experienced is similar to situations we sometime experience with people. Today reminds me not to bite others in a stressful situation. I can relate. I hope your situation gets resolved quickly. Thank you 🙏🏻 for the love study.

    1. They are here right now, fingers crossed, fixing the well. Different people then on Monday as well, but either way I am keeping my “biting” to myself.

  2. Great message. Spoken from the heart. Christianity in action.

    1. Hello Friend! Hope things are well at your northern home.
