Read today’s passage: Colossians 3:12-15
Since God chose you to be the holy people he loves, you must clothe yourselves with tenderhearted mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience.
I will have to clothe myself in patience as I adjust to my new home and job. I have moved from high-speed internet to slow satellite internet. I have gone from being able to order practically anything I want, from groceries to take-out to my front door to driving 30 minutes to the grocery store and 1 hour to my beloved Starbucks. I have gone from a job I have loved and been in for many years to a new career doing something I have not done for ten years. I have left all my family and friends and have the task of making new friends in front of me. Yes, patience is something I will have to clothe myself in…
Patience and love go hand in hand. I am charged to love those around me; to do that; I will need to be patient. As I start on this adventure God has planned for me, I will need to clothe myself in these things. Take a moment to watch the video below and then try out the “So What Activity.”
So What Activity: Whom do you need to be more patient within your life? Do you have a new friend that you need to go deeper with? Do you have an old relationship that requires more patience? Spend this week trying to be more patient in your relationships.
Blessings,
Kristyne
