Summer of Love – August 4

Read today’s passage: Psalm 91:4-5

When I was a little girl, I loved for my mother to brush my hair.  Believe it or not, I had long hair until I was around 25.  Anyway, I loved for my mother to brush my hair, and this love continued until I was around 18 years of age.  It just always made me feel safe and secure.  As my mother would say, it gave me warm fuzzies.

Today’s scripture is all about how God makes us feel safe and secure and gives us “warm fuzzies.”  I love this passage because the wording makes God’s love and protection tangible.  When I read it, I can almost feel God sheltering me with his “wing.”  I can feel the armor that God has prepared for me that I can put on to protect myself.  These words make me feel the same as when my mother was brushing my hair…safe with my parent who loves me.

Please take a moment to watch the video and see how I take that feeling with me now everywhere I go.

So What Activity:  What can you do to show someone how much God loves them?  Think about this and then go out and do it!  Be the image of God to someone today.

Blessings,
Kristyne
