Summer of Love – August 16

Read Titus 2:11-12

This past weekend Pastor Loida mentioned that it is always a good idea to go back and look at the scripture we are studying.  She also said it is also a good idea to look at what comes before and after the scripture.  I encourage you to take a look at Titus.  It is a relatively short book.  You can see all the stuff that comes before and after.

In the first chapter, Paul talks about how there are people who “claim to know God, but they deny him by the way they live.”  If we are honest, we have all been there to one degree or another.  Not going all in with God.  Thinking we know what is right, the right way to live, the right way to love.

If you continue in chapter 2, you see in verse 14 the following… “He gave his life to free us from every kind of sin, to cleanse us, and to make us his very own people, totally committed to doing good deeds.”

How are we doing at that?  If we are honest like we were above, we have all been there to one degree or another…but maybe we are not totally committed.

In our lives, we are to working towards being totally committed.  Totally in love.  And totally shinning that love into the world.

Take a moment to learn a little more about the Book of Titus by watching this bonus video.  And then, just like yesterday, get out there into the world and be a person of action.  Be totally committed.

Blessings,
Kristyne
