Lenten Study – Wednesday, February 22

This is the Good News about Jesus the Messiah, the Son of God. It began just as the prophet Isaiah had written:

“Look, I am sending my messenger ahead of you,
and he will prepare your way.
He is a voice shouting in the wilderness,
‘Prepare the way for the Lord’s coming!
    Clear the road for him!’”

Lent is here!  I am excited that you have joined Pastors Loida, Jim, and myself for this forty-day journey.  In the past we have ended each devotion with a “So What” activity.  This year we would like to shake it up a little bit.  We ask that each day, at the end of the devotion, you say The Way of Peace Prayer (below) and then that you remain open to the prompting of the Holy Spirit throughout the day for that one person.

Our prayer is that through this study Bible study and prayer will become one of your daily routines.  Take a moment to read our scripture for the day and then watch your first video.

Mark 1:1-8

The Way of Peace Prayer: Jesus, I choose to follow your Way of Peace.  Lead me to one person that I can love, give hope, and bring your peace today.

Blessings – Kristyne

  1. This preparation for Easter is a wonderful way to start each day. I look forward to each days reading. The video and suggestion for an action to accompany the lesson is perfect.

  2. As a retired teacher, and having a routine for many years, I have resisted establishing a routine for a number of years. After listening today, I’ve decided it’s time to consider establishing a new routine and know the health benefits, mentally and physically, it will provide.

    1. You have to have a routine when you are a teacher. Gets you through the day. I have found life just easier when I just keep on with the routine when I get home and on the weekends.
