When I first started work at a church I worked with children and youth.  I loved working with children and I really did not like working with youth.  Let’s just say it takes a special kind of person to work with teenagers and I am not that special kind of person.  However, every once and a while those teenagers would surprise me and say something profound.  We were doing a lesson one time and I was trying to get them to describe Jesus for me.  You know, give me the character traits of Jesus.  I was going to make the point after they had listed the traits of Jesus that to know Jesus was to know God.  I would end the lesson by saying the traits of Jesus would be the traits of God because Jesus was fully human, but also fully God.  Tada.  But they were having a hard time describing Jesus.  Finally one of the kids finally just said, you know Jesus, Jesus is just like Ms. Laurie.  Ms. Laurie was one of our volunteers.  Read the scripture and join me in the video to hear the rest of the story.

Questions to Consider:

1. Did you have or still have someone in your life who shines the image of God into the world like Ms. Laurie did for the youth?  Write something about that person in your journal. 
2. What would it look like for you to shine the image of God you have inside you into the world a little brighter?  How could you do that? 

So What Activity:   Random act of kindness time:  Today is Tuesday.  Commit to at least one random act of kindness for each day until this Sunday.  That means at least 6 random acts of kindness.  Need some help thinking of some random acts of kindness?  Check out this website.
