Lenten Study – Monday, March 13

Mark 4:35-41

In my video, I talked about Jesus walking with us in the good and the bad.  There was a time in my life when I didn’t understand what good it was to have Jesus walking with us if bad things were still going to happen.  I turned my back on Jesus for a long time and looked towards all sorts of earthly things for my peace and comfort.  However, I now know that life will happen and that the only real peace and comfort can be found in Jesus.  This is a little hard to think about when we are struggling, and it seems like all is lost.  However, Jesus, the one we walk with is God, the God who came to earth and took on human flesh.  The God who struggled with people being against him.  The God who experienced pain and suffering on the cross. The God who cried out when he felt like he had been abandoned and all was lost.  The God who walks with us is one who truly understands our pain and suffering and can be the ultimate source of peace and comfort in that storm.

So, yes, we do need to have faith in Jesus. We need to remember that he is with us every day and that we truly have nothing to fear if he is in our boat.

The Way of Peace Prayer: Jesus, I choose to follow your Way of Peace.  Lead me to one person that I can love, give hope, and bring your peace today.

Blessings – Kristyne
