Lenten Study – Thursday, April 6

Mark 14:53-15:20

I do not have many words to say except that I hope you attend several services between today and Sunday.  We need to walk through the pain before experiencing the joy of Easter.

Today is Thursday.  The church building is open from 8 am to 8 pm; there are many areas for you to explore and be in quiet meditation.  Tonight at 6 pm, we will be having our Maundy Thursday service; you want to attend this.  Tomorrow at noon, we encourage you to attend our Good Friday service.  If you have never attended one, make this the year you do so for the first time.

Saturday night starts our Easter Celebrations with our regular 5 pm service.  Then you can join us at 7 am on Sunday for a special sunrise service, followed by a continental breakfast!  And, of course, our regular services at 9:00 and 10:30 that will be anything but regular as we celebrate Easter together.

Thank you to Pastors Jim and Loida and all the staff and volunteers at Lake Deaton who have worked hard to make this Lenten season and Holy Week a time of prayer and reflection, a time to draw closer to Jesus.

The Way of Peace Prayer: Jesus, I choose to follow your Way of Peace.  Lead me to one person that I can love, give hope, and bring your peace today.

Blessings – Kristyne
