Read Psalm 1
When my kids still lived at home, one of the things I often said to them was, “Garbage in, garbage out.” I am sure they hated it as much as I hated it when my mother always told me, “a place for everything and everything in its place.” I hope that someday they will see the wisdom in my words just as I eventually found wisdom in my mother’s words.
When we put good things into our lives, we will get good things out of them. When we think positively, we will be positive. Counting our blessings will make us more thankful in our everyday lives. When we meditate on the scripture day and night, we will grow in our walk with Jesus.
As I have grown, just a tiny bit, as a home gardener, I have learned the importance of consistency. For plants to grow, they need water regularly, soil that is full of nutrients, and protection from pests that will quickly devour them. The same is true in our walk with Jesus. Not only do we need to practice the means of grace in our lives, but we need to do it consistently.
Please take a moment to watch this video and then consider what more you can do to grow consistently in your walk with Jesus.
