Summer Study – Day 40

Read Psalm 150

Praise the LORD!  Let everything that breathes sing praises to the LORD!

How do you praise the LORD? Most of us do this on Sunday morning.  But what about the rest of the week?  How do you praise the LORD when things are going well?  How do you praise the LORD when things are not going well?  We are called to praise the LORD at all times.

Psalm One started us by saying that those who praise the LORD and meditate on the Word will be like trees planted along the riverbank, bearing fruit each season. I pray that this walk through the Psalms has given you more insight into how to praise the LORD no matter what is happening around you.  That you have learned about growing deep and wide roots that ground you in the love of God, no matter the season.

It has been my honor and privilege to join you for this study. Advent seems like a long way off, but time marches on.  Starting in October, I will be looking for writers for our annual Advent Devotional.  If you have a story about how God has impacted your life that you would like to share with others, we invite you to write for our Advent study. Please email me at kyoung@lakedeatonumc.com.

Blessings: Kristyne

  1. I will miss having all of you to look forward to in my morning prayers. I will also miss each of you sharing a bit of yourselves in your thoughts and your locations. Especially the lake and the dogs!

  2. Thank you so much for organizing this, and making these videos, and to all the helpers that make this happen. I have enjoyed all of it.

  3. Loved that beautiful noise at the end of today’s video!
Thanks to all for sharing with us each day!
