Which Service do you attend: Saturdays, 5 p.m.
Word: Sacred
Scripture: Luke 2:30-31: “For my eyes have seen your salvation, that you have prepared in the sight of all nations.”

My mom, Anna Mary, was a wonderful woman and mom. She was definitely a Proverbs 31 woman. She opened her home to anyone and everyone. She cherished every moment with her family and friends. She was a woman of Grace, mercy and love. My mom lived every moment to the fullest. She did not have an easy life whatsoever, but she came through everything because her first love was Jesus. He helped her through every season of her life.
The meaning of sacred is highly valued and important and set apart for the service or worship of a deity. My mom was one of those women who was set apart for a purpose, and she fulfilled her purpose to the fullest. She was highly valued and important to all who knew her. She held her sacred time in prayer and devotion to her loving Father.
You are also highly valued and important. You are set apart for such a time as this. As we prepare our hearts for Advent, I would encourage you to have sacred time set aside to pray and read scripture or a devotion. Be still in the presence of your Father who loves you very much.
Prayer: Father, during this Advent season, help us to prepare our hearts and spend time with You. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
Action: Reflect on someone that reminds you of what it means to be set apart of God. Say a prayer of gratitude for that person in your life.
